Mr. González founded AO Capital Partners in 1988 and has been the Chairman/CEO of the Group since its inception. Previously, he was Managing Director of Shearson Lehman Brothers (Asia) Inc. where he was overseeing its investment banking activities in the Asia Pacific region.
From 1983 to 1986, Mr. González served as the Special Trade Negotiator (equivalent rank of Deputy Minister) of the Ministry of Trade and Industry of the Philippines. Concurrently, he was Vice Chairman and President of Philippine International Trading Corporation (International trading arm of the Philippines government). Mr. González has extensive experience in and dedicates much of his time to strategic advisory and principal investments as well as public and private financings.
As Chairman of AO Capital, Mr. González has executed numerous transactions across a wide range of industries in Asia and in the process acquired unmatched relationships with the blue-chip companies and well-respected groups in Asia.
Mr. González is active in socio cultural organizations such as the Philippine Map Collectors Society where he is the President, the World President’s Organization Philippine Chapter, Harvard Club New York Chapter, Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the International Wine and Food Society.
Mr. González is the Vice Chairman and President of Arthaland Corporation, a highly respected property development company in the Philippines whose portfolio consists entirely of sustainable developments. He has also served in the boards of a number of publicly listed companies including Euromoney Institutional Investor PLC (a leading international media group focused primarily on the international finance sector listed in the London Stock Exchange) and the Southeast Asia Cement Holdings, Inc. (a subsidiary of Lafarge S.A.).
Mr. González is a graduate of Harvard Business School (MBA) and of De La Salle University in Manila (B.A. in Economics (cum laude) and B.S. in Commerce (cum laude)). Mr. González is a Certified Public Accountant (Philippines).
Omar Salvo leads AO Capital’s restructuring and work-outs practice, and also heads the firm’s asset servicing operations. He is a 30-year banking and finance veteran with extensive experience in corporate and investment banking, as well as in asset recovery.
Before joining AOCP in 2006, he was the First Vice President of the Asset Recovery Group of the Land Bank of the Philippines where he led the management and disposition of over US$300.0 Million worth of Land Bank’s non-performing assets. He also previously set up and headed the Bank’s Corporate Finance Department, leading the origination and execution of various financial advisory, loan syndication, restructuring, and debt and equity underwriting transactions. Landbank is the 2nd largest bank in the Philippines in terms of total assets as of March 2021.
Mr. Salvo has served on the boards of both going-concern as well as under-rehab corporations including Arthaland Corporation, Land Bank Realty and Development Corporation, All Asia Capital, Paper Industries Corporation of the Philippines, the Subic Yacht Club, and various condominium corporations, among others.
He holds a Master in Business Management (“MBM”) degree from the Asian Institute of Management and an AB Economics from the Ateneo de Manila University.
Srini has over 30 years of investment banking and private equity experience in Asia with AIA Capital-Blackstone JV and American Orient Capital Partners, a boutique investment firm focused on long term investments in Asia Pacific region.
Srini was formerly partner of Softbank’s Kaikaku fund in the Philippines. Srini has closed US $5.0 bn+ worth of transactions in the areas of project finance, corporate finance, private placement of capital, direct investments, leverage buy outs and mergers and acquisitions covering countries in South East Asia and India.
Srini is a member of Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines, ASEAN India Business Council. Srini is also a member of Indian Institute of Technology Alumni chapters of Singapore and the USA.
Srini serves on the boards of several public and private companies. Srini currently serves on the board of Hunter Technology Corp. (a TSX listed company) and Oasis Financial Services Group (formerly IP Egames Ventures, a PSE listed company) as director and audit committee chairman.
Srini did his Masters in Business Management at the Asian Institute of Management in Manila, Philippines, and Masters in Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India. Srini also attended an exchange program at Desautels Graduate School of Business Management, McGill University, Montreal, Canada.
Christopher has over 25 years of investment banking, money management, and private equity experience in the United States with boutique investment firms located on the West and East Coast. Prior to that he successfully turned around a manufacturing company based in New York State.
Christopher serves on the boards of educational institutions and as a member of state focused educational task forces in the Southeastern part of the United States.
He holds three master degrees: MBA from Harvard University, MSc from University of South Carolina, MPhil from Cambridge University and was a nationally ranked cyclist in the US and the UK.
Enrique is a leading Philippine entrepreneur with businesses in healthcare services, retail, technology, cybersecurity, F&B, real estate and Fintech.
Enrique founded and listed 3 companies on the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE). He has also led joint-ventures and co-investments with Softbank, Tencent, PCCW of Hong Kong, GMA7 and Philippine Star. Enrique was involved in a number of acquisitions, divestitures and strategic investment transactions since 2006.
Enrique successfully brought a number of international brands to the Philippines such as NBA, Highlands Coffee, Western Union and MYEG.
Enrique attended the OPM program at Harvard Business School. Enrique is the first Kauffman Fellow from the Philippines. Enrique did his undergraduate studies from Middlebury College. Enrique was the finalist of E&Y Entrepreneur of the Year in the Philippines.
Calvin brings 8 years of investment banking and fundraising experience with cross-border deal closing track record in Asia Pacific, working with various growth stage and listed companies in the region.
During his time at Standard Chartered and a boutique corporate advisory firm, he has completed US$2.5 billion worth of M&A and leveraged finance transactions across the real estate and industrial technology sectors, with extensive experience in deal structuring, due diligence and negotiations.
Calvin holds MSc Finance and MEng Chemical Engineering degrees from Imperial College London. He is capable of working with six languages in professional capacities, including Mandarin, Cantonese and Malay.
Calvin is based in Singapore covers Singapore, Malaysia and Philippines markets.
Arlene has had extensive experience in the fields of corporate finance, investment banking, financial planning and analysis. Arlene’s project experience includes a Php3.0 billion capital raising through the issuance of Green Bonds for Arthaland Corporation, a leading real estate developer in the Philippines with 100% green portfolio.
Arlene has exposure to several industries including green real estate, green energy, fintech and financial services. Arlene holds a degree in Business Administration and Accountancy (cum laude) from the University of the Philippines and is a Certified Public Accountant and Chartered Financial Analyst (Level II) exam passer.
She was previously part of Transaction Advisory Services at FTI Consulting Philippines Inc. and Citibank N.A.
Robert has over 25 years of experience in account management, credit operations, remedial loans management as well as the management and marketing of acquired assets. He has been with AOCP’s asset servicing business since 2007.
Prior to joining AOCP, Robert served as Assistant Manager of the Special Accounts Management Department of the Metropolitan Bank & Trust Company (Metrobank is the 3rd largest bank in the Philippines in terms of total assets as of March 2021) and as Manager with the Asset Recovery Group of Asiatrust Bank. He is well versed in loan restructurings as well as foreclosure proceedings.
Robert holds a BS Accountancy degree from the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, one of the leading state universities.
Lolly is a Certified Public Accountant. Lolly currently provides back-office finance, accounting, control and compliance support. Lolly is assisted by seasoned accounting staff.
Lolly graduated from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Accountancy. Her past employers include TouchMedia Philippines, Inc., IPVG, SVI Information Services Corp., and Phimco Industries, Inc.
Prior to joining AO Capital Group, Asya was with the Investment and Capital Corporation of the Philippines (ICCP) conducting financial advisory in relation to its businesses in real estate development and exposition facility complex management. She was also formerly with Northern Trust Corporation managing the reportorial and financial requirements of Irish funds.
Asya received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Santo Tomas in 2018 where she majored in Financial Management.
Prior to joining AO Capital Group, Joaquin has spent the past three (3) years as an Equity Research Analyst for UBS and BDO Securities. In that time, he has covered a variety of sectors within the Philippine corporate landscape, conducting financial analyses and equity valuations on industries including, but not limited to, energy/utilities, infrastructure, conglomerates, and consumer.
Joaquin received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of the Philippines in 2019.
